Andrés Navarro

Andrés Navarro (Valencia, 1973) holds a degree in Architecture. In 2005 he obtained the Premio de Poesía Emilio Prados with his first book, La fiebre, published by Pre-Textos (Valencia). Between 2006 and 2008 he held a scholarship for creation at the Residencia de Estudiantes granted by the City Council of Madrid. During that period he composed his second book, Un huésped panorámico, awarded with the Premio Ciudad de Burgos and edited in 2010 by DVD Ed. (Barcelona). In 2015 he received the poetry prize El duelo de la luz, at the Corda Foundation of New York. He also selected, translated and edited the anthology Photomaton: nueva lírica portuguesa (Montevideo, HUM, 2012). His poetry works has been included in several anthologies as La inteligencia y el hacha. Un panorama de la Generación poética de 2000 edited by Luis Antonio de Villena (Madrid, Visor, 2010) or Malos tiempos para la épica. Última poesía española, 2001-2012 (Madrid, Visor, 2013), edited by Luis Bagué Quílez and Alberto Santamaría. Together with the poet Rafael Espejo, he is the co-director of the festival “Tenemos la palabra, diálogos entre poesía y música”.
