Davide Castiglione

Davide Castiglione (Alessandria, 1985) graduated at the University of Pavia (2010) on Vittorio Sereni’s translations of William Carlos Williams. He currently lives in Nottingham (UK) where he is completing a PhD which applies linguistic and empirical methods to modernist and postmodernist poetry. He has published academic articles on international journals, such as “Strumenti critici” and “Journal of Literary Semantics”. In 2008 he won the “I Poeti Laureandi” prize and the “Subway”.  He published Per ogni frazione (Campanotto, 2010), which received a mention of honor at the “Lorenzo Montano” prize in 2011. A selection of his poems has appeared on the Antologia della Poesia in Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta (Puntoacapo, 2012) and on the magazine “Capoverso”. In 2012 he has co-founded the online magazine “In realtà, la poesia” (www.inrealtalapoesia.com) open to contributors from abroad and the aim of which is to make literary criticism as sound, ethical and open-source as possible. He collaborates with the poetry magazine “dopotutto” (www.dopotuttonet.wordpress.com) and regularly reviews for “Critica Letteraria” (www.criticaletteraria.org) and “Officina Poesia” (www.nuoviargomenti.net/officina-poesia).
