Salvatore Ritrovato

Salvatore Ritrovato was born in San Giovanni Rotondo (FG) in 1967. He studied at the Universities of Urbino, Leuven and Bologna. At present, he teaches Modern and Contemporary Italian Literature at the University of Urbino, where he lives. He published several collection of poems: Quanta vita (Book, 1997), Via della Pesa (Book, 2003), Come chi non torna (Raffaelli, 2008), L’angolo ospitale (La Vita Felice, 2013). He wrote a booklet for music, in e-book format, Dedo, on the life of Amedeo Modigliani (“Quaderni di Rebstein” XIV, 2009); and a notebook in verse and prose of a trip to Bosnia, Cono d’ombra (DVD movie with the same name, directed by A. Laquidara, Transeuropa, 2011). His lyrics have come out in magazines and anthologies, including abroad; he works in various literary journals, directs the yearbook of international contemporary poetry “Punto” (ed. Puntoacapo).
