Julio Mendonça is a poet; he hold a PhD in Communication and Semiotics at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) of São Paulo, is a specialist in Public Management (UFABC) and coordinates the Haroldo de Campos Reference Center at Casa das Rosas. He has been director of the “Department of Cultural Actions” in São Bernardo do Campo and consultant at “Pólis”, Institute of Studies, Training and Advising in Social Policies, participating to the Santo Amaro em Rede, a socio-cultural mapping project for SESC in the south of the city of São Paulo. He has also been responsible for curating various exhibitions such as “Pontos Luminosos da poesia de Haroldo de Campos”, “Esdrúxulo – 100 anos da morte de Augusto dos Anjos”, “Estrutura explodida – vidobra de Haroldo de Campos” and “As ideias concretas” together with Reynaldo Damazio. He published poems and articles indiffernet media. He edited ABC Rap – Coletânea de poesia rap (Prefeitura de São Bernardo do Campo, 1992) and Poesia (Im) Popular Brasileira (Editora Lamparina Luminosa, 2013) and published Democratizar a participação cultural (Dobradura Editorial, 2017).
